MIRI:  Authorities have resumed their search on Saturday for a 39-year-old local man, Budi Budin, who was reported missing after failing to return home since November 2.

Budi, who was scheduled to report to the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) office here on November 5, has not been seen since he left home.

Concerned family members lodged a missing person report at the Miri District Police Headquarters (IPD Miri) after he did not return as expected.

The Search and Rescue (SAR) operation, led by the fire brigade team from Miri Sentral station, commenced at 7.20 pm last Friday.

Teams have been deployed to Kampung Beraya Batu 1 to conduct search efforts based on information provided by Budi’s family.

Budi is described as bald, thin, approximately 167cm tall, and was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, flower-patterned shorts, and sandals.
