BALINGIAN: The search and rescue (SAR) operation for Perau Angga, 74, who went missing in the forest at Rumah Bunak, Tepus will continue today (April 24).

The SAR operation entered its seventh day yesterday with the search focusing on the forest near Sungai Lalang to Sungai Rusa and the forest around the longhouse although no fresh clues were found.

The operation brought in a K-9 (dog) unit from Sibu Police to assist in the search but failed to find any clues.

The operation led by Assistant Fire Superintendent Nazari Harun comprised 14 firefighters, two police personnel, nine Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel, two K-9 unit officers and 10 longhouse residents.

After discussing with the SAR team members, the search was called off in the evening yesterday.
