KOTA SAMARAHAN: A search and rescue (SAR) operations is underway to locate a 61-year-old man reported to have gone missing at Kuap Bridge on Monday (Mar 15).
The State Fire Department operations centre said firemen from Kota Samarahan were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 12.38pm.
Earlier, it was reported that the victim had left home on his motorcycle around 5.20am last Sunday (Mar 14) and later that night, police found the victim’s motorcycle, helmet and slippers at the bridge around 9.30pm.
There was no sign of the victim until the next day (Monday), which prompted firefighters to carry out the search operations.
As at press time, the victim has not been found yet.
