MIRI: A search and rescue operation (SAR) is underway to locate the whereabouts of an 18-year old teen, who fell into a river near a dockyard in Kuala Baram, yesterday evening (Mac 4).

Japar James Tadong was said to have fallen off a platform after bathing.

According to Lutong Fire and Rescue station chief Henry Jugah, they were alerted to the incident at 6.38 pm.

Upon their arrival at the scene at 6.54 pm, firemen immediately combed the area. After two hours, the search was suspended and resumed today at 8.30 am.
