BINTULU: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) and the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) continue working together on the Sarawak Energy Tree Planting, Protection, and Habitat Recovery Campaign 2021 until 2030 to support the Sarawak Greening Initiative.
A total of 1,400 seedlings of various species including Penaga Lilin, Bucida, and Belian were planted in the open area near the People’s Housing Project (RPR) Kidurong here, yesterday.
The symbolic tree planting programme 2.0 was officiated at by the Senior Manager of Project Control and Performance Management SEB, Marjorie Bandan.
Also present were the Deputy Chairman of BDA Datuk Haidar Khan Asghar Khan, BDA Secretary Wan Ibrahim Wan Ali, and the BDA Public Affairs Manager Latif Upit representing the BDA Chief Executive Officer Datuk Muhamad Yakup Kari.
Earlier, a briefing was held regarding the tree planting activity 1.0, followed by an appreciation ceremony for government agencies and the local community involved in the programme, followed by an aerobics activity at the RPR Kidurong community hall.
