SEB Cares has 22,000 subscribers

KUCHING: The first mobile application by Sarawak Energy Berhad called SEB Cares has 22,000 subscribers.

This was disclosed by Senior Manager Service Excellence & Communication Sesco CEO Office Ahadiah Zamhari yesterday.

“We are striving to have more customers download the apps and use it as it has many features for their convenience,” she said during a media talk on enhancing customer service incentives and experience with technological innovation yesterday at  Menara Sarawak Energy, The Isthmus here.

By 2020, SEB hopes to achieve a customer index of above 80 percent. At the moment the index is at 77. 42 percent.

“There are three key factors to focus in order to ensure SEB achieves the customer index target.

“They are focusing on the people, process for continuous improvement  and the technology to ensure SEB is in trend.

“Thus, apps such SEB Cares can allow us to empower our customers and provide quality service to our customers,” she said.

Meanwhile, Manager of Customer Care Centre Christina Lai said that SEB Cares as one of the technolgy incentives which has been implemented since last year, provides features that can be connected anytime, anywhere and available on various platforms and devices such as mobile apps and web.

“The apps helps our customers to manage their Sesco bills, calculate their bills, payment, make report or feedbacks, locating nearest customer service centre and get notifications on outage news and alerts,” she said.

Christina said apart of SEB cares, the company is also working out with multiple partners to come out with proper workflow for eApplication.

“The eApplication started last month (July) and is expected to be implemented in January 2018.

“The eApplication allows customesr to submit electricity supply application online, monitor transparent updates from relevant departments on application progress, notification via sms or email on application status, pay CC and CD bill via internet banking, sign contract electronically and meter installation appointment.”
