KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) has introduced a charging fee for the high-powered EV fast charger at the station located in ICOM Square here, starting today.
In a Facebook post yesterday, SEB announced that the 180kW and 50kW direct current (DC) chargers at ICOM Square will be priced at RM1.40 per kWh.
The state-owned energy development company assured they remain committed to providing reliable and efficient charging services for their electric vehicles.
According to SEB, customers who face technical issues with the charger can contact their customer support hotline at 011-1095-2675.
The DC fast-charging station at ICOM Square was the first in Sarawak, offering three charging points, two of which are equipped with an impressive 180kW DC charging power, making it the fastest and largest capacity public charging station in Borneo.
In June last year, Gentari Sdn Bhd and SEB signed a strategic collaboration agreement to increase EV adoption in Sarawak through the development of a comprehensive EV charging network in the state, aimed at promoting green mobility solutions as well as encouraging the move to low-carbon transportation in Sarawak.
