KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB)’s commitment to pursuing brand excellence has been duly recognised.
On Thursday night in Kuala Lumpur, SEB group CEO Datuk Sharbini Suhaili stood tall on stage to receive The BrandLaureate Nation Branding Award at the prestigious Nation Branding Award 2018-2019 event.
The award recognises the state’s primary power utility and energy development company’s brand personality and positive brand culture, presence and leadership in renewable energy generation and sustainability.
The award puts SEB among other recipients of The BrandLaureate Nation Branding Award who are noted for their brand leadership and influence of industry trends and standards with their innovative initiatives.
On the achievement, Sharbini said: “SEB serves a population of close to three million and aims to achieve full or 100 percent electrification before 2025.
“Our brand attributes are professional, clean and humble, and we will continue to embody these in our mission to provide reliable, renewable and affordable energy to the people of Sarawak.
“We are also looking into sharing our renewable energy with our neighbours through the Borneo Grid interconnection, in line with our vision to become a regional powerhouse.”
He said this means strengthening SEB’s brand position as a key renewable energy developer in the region.
“As we chart our next wave of growth, we aim to be an admired, trusted and recognisable brand in the community we serve and beyond,” he added.
SEB is a recipient of The BrandLaureate Most Sustainable Brand Award 2015-2016.
