KAPIT: Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi who is also Kapit MP officially declared open Kapit Parliamentary Service Centre in Song District on the first floor of a shophouse at Song Bazaar near here, recently.

Hundreds of members of BN component parties comprising PBB, SUPP, PRS and SPDP were present at the event.

Also present were heads of departments led by Song District Officer Jacklyn August and local community leaders.

With the opening of a service centre in Song District, Kapit Parliamentary constituency has two service centres – one in Kapit Town and the other in Song Bazaar.

According to Nanta the centres were set up to provide better services to the voters in the Kapit parliamentary constituency which covers three state constituencies namely Pelagus, Kaitbas and Bukit Goram.

“With a service centre here (Song) it will be much easier for the people to bring up issues and matters that need my attention as well as assistance. They don’t have to travel to Kapit and spend so much,” Nanta said.
