MIRI: A 53-year-old security guard of a government office at Sarawak Islamic Complex here sustained head injuries after he accidentally smashed his head on the ledge of a toilet door.
According to Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) officer in charge Lt (PA) Mirwan Shah Masri, they were notified of the incident at 2.37 pm today (Saturday).
“The incident occurred on the eighth floor of the building,” he said, adding that five Miri APM personnel were mobilised to the scene to help the injured man.
Mirwan added that prior to the incident, the man had stepped on his flip flops lace before tripping over and banging his head on the door ledge.
The man sustained a seven-cm wound on his left forehead and was rushed to Miri Hospital for further medical treatment.
