KUCHING: A total of 21 handicraft entrepreneurs participated in the ‘Program Semarak Seni Budaya Orang Ulu 2024’ held on yesterday (March 23).
Organised by the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) it was held in Kampung Lusut, Miri.
In his speech Sarawak Tourism Board chairman Datuk Dennis Ngau who is also Telang Usan assemblyman called on entrepreneurs not to waste opportunities to get entrepreneurial help from SEDC.
The programme which ran for two days was managed by Caroline Jok Ngau
and involved courses on Handmade Woven – ‘Rose Bag’ and ‘Orang Ulu Pesangun’.
Besides that, participants were taught about the basics of entrepreneurship as well as how to penetrate the market in the handicraft industry.
Also present was SEDC general manager Datuk Abdul Hadi.
