KUCHING: The Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) reaffirmed its commitment to bolstering the state’s economy through diverse development initiatives.
Its chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr Abdul Aziz Husain said that SEDC will continue aiding the advancement of strategic sectors in Sarawak.
“We will leverage our expertise and resources to elevate the living standards of local residents,” he said.
He told media this after a courtesy call on Governor Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at the Astana Negeri Sarawak here today.
On the same note, Abdul Aziz expressed delight that Wan Junaidi took an interest in SEDC’s ongoing projects, showing recognition and support for Sarawak’s future.
He highlighted the Head of State’s interest in new ventures like methanol, hydrogen, algae, and related endeavours, demonstrating the state’s leadership’s endorsement of SEDC’s efforts.
Also present were SEDC chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Abdul Hadi Abdul Kadir and other key figures.
