PADAWAN: Come out and exercise your right as voters on Nov 19.
This is the message from Puncak Borneo incumbent Datuk Willie Mongin to his constituents in particular, and voters in Sarawak in general, on polling day in the 15th general election.
He said it was important to ensure Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) wins the three Bidayuh majority seats, namely Mas Gading, Serian and Puncak Borneo.
“In the 12th state election (PRN12), GPS won all eight Bidayuh state seats and the coalitions reciprocated by announcing the establishment of the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA).
“Hence, the reason why we must win the parliamentary seats send all Bidayuh MPs to Parliament to ensure more development, especially in Puncak Borneo.
“There is also a lot to be done in terms of education, job opportunities and socio-economy in the area,” he said during the meet-the-people session at the Kampung Bunuk Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday (Nov 16).
The eight Bidayuh state seats are Opar, Tasik Biru, Serembu, Mambong, Tarat, Kedup, Bukit Semuja and Tebedu.
Also present was Deputy Minister of Transport (Land and Aviation) and Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil who called on the voters, especially the youths and first-time voters to come out and vote.
“Bunuk has about 2,000 voters and this is will contribute to the number of votes. We must vote for none other than GPS,” he said. See you at the polling station: Willie
