KUCHING: Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj has commended the organisation of the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2024.

According to Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, despite the heavy downpour during the festival, it did not dampen the spirit of His Majesty to come and enjoy the RWMF 2024.

“Initially, I thought that he wouldn’t come due to the heavy rain but he still came wearing ponchos.

“He really did enjoy the festival and said that he was very impressed and inspired that we have this kind of festival here,” he said.

He said this during the press conference of the third day of the RWMF 2024 here last night (June 30).

Adding on, Abdul Karim said that His Majesty had also given his feedback on how to further improve the festival.

“I can see that he knows quite a lot… he must’ve attended quite a lot of music festivals. That is why he shared with us his experiences and ways to improve RWMF.
