KUCHING: All stalls at the Semarak Ramadan Bazaar have been moved to a new site.
Tupong assemblyman Fazzruddin Abdul Rahman said this is for the safety of shoppers and hawkers.
“Before this we noticed that the stalls along Jalan Semarak were a danger to motorists and pedestrians.
“That is why we decided to move the stall to a site behind the Gita Food Court,” he said, adding that this year, a few news hawkers are joining the bazaar.
“I am very thankful to Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) for providing the new site,” he said.
He said this to reporters after officiating at Semarak Ramadhan Bazaar in Matang yesterday (March 23).
There are 46 hawkers at Semarak Ramadan Bazaar selling various delicacies and drinks.
