LUNDU: Newly-minted Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan wants everyone in Sematan and Tanjong Datu to pull their weight in making the area a tourism hub for the state.

He is aware that there is much to be done but promised to look into every issue one by one.

Towards this end Azizul said if anything were to be overlooked he would accept whatever feedback as the ultimate objective was to advance the area collectively.

“Thank you for the mandate and support given by the entire community in Sematan to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)-Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) during the 12th state election.

“This allows me to provide the best service in the next five years,” he said during the Sematan Zone Thanksgiving and Tahlil Ceremony for the late former Chief Minister Pehin Sri Adenan Satem held at Sematan District Mosque on Tuesday night (Jan 11).

“Sematan is place that was close to the heart of the late Tok Nan as this was where he had spent a lot of time hunting and fishing during his free time,” said Azizul about his father.

He said the gathering was not only a thanksgiving ceremony but also a Tahlil ceremony in conjunction with the late Adenan’s passing five years ago on Jan 11, 2017.

Earlier, he had also attended a Tahlil ceremony organised by the Kampung Trusan Jaya Sematan Charity Fund in conjunction with the contribution previously given by Adenan at Surau An’Nur Trusan Jaya Sematan.
