KUCHING: A total of 160 recipients were awarded medals by Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud at an investiture ceremony at the Astana Negeri in Petra Jaya here, yesterday.
Semop assemblyman Abdullah Saidol and Albert Tang Yew Liong were conferred the Darjah Johan Bintang Kenyalang while Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang was awarded to Awang Johari Awang Mustapha followed by Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, Dr Harry Entebang and Toieyah Tioh.
Six recipients received the Darjah Pegawai Bintang Sarawak, Darjah Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (10), Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (30), Darjah Ahli Bintang Sarawak (29), Darjah Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (19), Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (31), and Darjah Bentara Bintang Sarawak (30).
Also present were the Taib’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib and Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing.
