BINTULU: A 60-year-old man was killed when the motorcycle he rode was hit by a car at Kampung Assyakirin in Bintulu, around 6.45am on Thursday (August 13).
Bintulu District deputy police chief, DSP Jame Reis said the deceased was identified as Tudin Mokti from Kampung Assyakirin Phase 3.
“The victim was waiting at a junction to Jalan Tanjung Datu when motorist turned his car into the junction and hit the victim,” he said in a statement on Thursday (August 13).
The victim, who suffered a broken leg and internal bleeding, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was later sent to the Bintulu Hospital.
The driver, 34, was not injured.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
