Sentoria gives assurance of full project completion

KUCHING: Sentoria Group Berhad’s wholly owned subsidiary, Sentoria Borneo Land Sdn Bhd has given an assurance that all their on-going residential projects known as Borneo Samariang Garden (BSG) will be completed.

This assurance was given in view of the recent issue raised by few purchasers of the Borneo Samariang Garden Phase 4 project (135 units of single storey terrace house) to the media.

In response to the said matter, Sentoria’s head of public and investor relations, Nasiruddin Nasrun, said they are taking measures to complete the said Phase 4 project as soon as possible.

According to Nasiruddin, Sentoria had contacted all of their Phase 4 buyers assuring them that the project will be completed soon. At the moment, the said project has reached between 85 percent to 95 percent completion stages.

The new timeline as committed by Sentoria for the completion and delivery of vacant possession for the said phase is by the middle of May 2019. The original completion date was supposed to be in September 2018.

The assurance given by Sentoria includes physical completion of the project by end of April 2019, connectivity of water and electricity supplies by middle of May 2019, handing over of vacant possession with Occupation Permit (OP) by middle of May 2019 and payment of the Liquidated Damage in accordance with the terms as stated in the Sales & Purchase Agreement with the buyers will also be made.

“Sentoria will continue to be present in Kuching for a long time. We will continue to develop the 500-acre Borneo Samariang Resort City which will include a water themed park (currently duly completed and open to public), Safari Park, hotel and convention centre, commercial as well as residential development. We will continue to deliver residential properties at an affordable price in support of the State Government’s initiative to provide affordable homes to the people of Sarawak,” said Nasiruddin.

He also highlighted that the earlier Phase 2 and 3 of BSG (198 units of single storey terrace house) had been completed with OP together with electricity and water supply.

As for the Phase 1 (72 units of single storey terrace house and 67 units of single storey semi-detached house), water supply is available to all units while the electricity supply is expected to be connected by the middle of April 2019.
