PADAWAN: A septuagenarian riding a motorcycle died moments after he collided with a dog at Mile 11 in Jalan Kuching-Serian at around 7 am today.
Prior to the accident, the elderly man believed to be aged 74, was on his way from Kuching to Serian.
Padawan district police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the man was not able to avoid the dog who came from the right side of the road.
“The man fell after he was thrown off his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries,” he said.
Abang Zainal said the deceased was pronounced dead by Sentosa Hospital paramedics.
The case is being investigated by Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
