SERIAN: The hall of St Theresa’s Church here was full of prayer leaders from villages under the Serian Parish who congregated for a half-day Recollection on February 23.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Faith Formation of the St Theresa’s Parish Pastoral Council here.
It commenced after an opening prayer by the facilitator, Seminarian Brother Henry Jimbie from Bau, who is currently undergoing Pastoral Care Formation at St Theresa’s Church from February 11 till the end of this coming May.
Also at the Recollection were Rector Father Paul Herry, members of the Parish Pastoral Council, members of the Basic Christian Community and the Catechists: Damien Nyalut (co-ordinator), Edward Nyingki (emcee) and David Gali (registration).
Henry Jimbie reminded the participants that they represent the church and should do church duties in the absence of the priest.
“Your image and behaviour are closely connected with the church,” he said.
The Recollection was a very beneficial spiritual project for the participants who were enlightened on the mission of the church and their duties.
All the prayer leaders were installed by Father Paul at the second Mass on Feb 24 at the church.
