KUCHING: Two temporary evacuation centres (PPS) were opened in the Lundu district as of noon today after several low-lying areas were inundated by flood waters since early this morning.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat head Major Ismail Mahedin in a statement said 51 people from 12 families were given temporary shelter at the PPS Sekolah Kebangsaan Sebat, Lundu and Kampung Sebat Dayak community hall.
He said evacuees were from Kampung Sebat Melayu and Kampung Sebat Baru. – Bernama
