KUCHING: Seven people suspected of committing various offences were arrested by police during ‘Ops Bersepadu’ last Tuesday night.
The operation, which was held at Kenyalang Park, Semariang, Masja, King’s Centre, Jalan Wan Alwi and Jalan Setia Raja, was carried out by a police team from the Kuching District Police Headquarters.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai said a total of 20 officers and 115 personnel took part in the operation which began at 8.00pm until early yesterday.
He said besides the arrests, a total of 162 motorcycles and 51 vehicles were inspected and 88 summonses were issued to motorists for various traffic offences.
