In its Covid-19 daily statement, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the total positive cases in Sarawak had risen to 803.

Contact tracing is actively being carried out to identify the causes of infection for Cases 797 and 798, currently categorised as local transmissions.

“In Kuching, three active clusters are Bah Arnab Cluster, Baki Cluster and Seladah Cluster while the Putra Cluster is in Bintulu.

“To date, new cases detected only involved the Baki Cluster while the other three active clusters recorded zero new positive case,” said SDMC.

The committee also announced all cases involved in the Putra Cluster in Bintulu had recovered and had been discharged from the hospital.

Sarawak recorded four recoveries and the cases have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total recovery cases in Sarawak to 732 or 91.16 percent.

Fifty-two cases are still under treatment — 49 are in the Sarawak General Hospital and three in Miri Hospital.

There were 11 new persons under investigation (PUIs) while four PUIs were still waiting lab test results.
