KUCHING: Seven employees of the State Museum Department have their efforts recognised during the department’s Excellence Service Awards 2016 presentation ceremony held at Imperial Hotel here last Friday night.

Director of State Museum Department, Ipoi Datan hoped that the seven award recipients would inspire others to improve the quality of their services and strive towards excellence.

“The awards raise awareness to government workers on how important it is for them to be consistent in improving the quality of their service delivery.

“This should be a vital element in our work culture as it can give a positive impact towards the department’s image,” he pointed out.

The seven award recipients were Norraha Abdul Rahim, Wong Siew Fui, Jama’yah Bustaman, John Boniface, Nurul Aida Adris, Yahya Zakaria, and Singa Agong.

The event was meant to acknowledge those who have shown excellence through their work performances throughout the whole of last year.

Each recipient received incentives in the form of a certificate, a souvenir, RM1,000, and a chance to improve their work performances such as attending courses and seminars both in and outside the country.
