Seven traffic summonses during ‘Op Bersepadu’ in Betong

A vehicle found blocking the traffic flow in Betong old town during the operation conducted jointly by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of Betong District Police Headquarters and Betong District Council on Thursday night.

BETONG: Seven traffic summonses were issued while two hawkers were asked to relocate during “Op Bersepadu”, an operation conducted jointly by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement  Division of Betong District Police Headquarters and Betong District Council at Betong old town on Thursday night.

According to a spokesman, one of the aims of the operation was to solve the traffic congestion problems caused by motorists who parked their vehicles carelessly and illegally.   Another aim was to ease the traffic flow in Betong town.

The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement  Division of Betong District Police Headquarters checked 45 vehicles and issued the seven traffic summonses for various offences. 

Meanwhile, Betong District Council also stopped traders from setting up their stalls or canopies in the parking areas.

Two of the traders were asked to move while three others were being monitored after being warned verbally.
