KUCHING: The Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has announced the temporary closure of the Wind Cave Nature Reserve due to flooding.
The closure is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice to allow for cleaning operations and ensure visitor safety amid the rainy season.
“Hence, it will be closed to facilitate cleaning operations and to ensure safety during the ongoing rainy season. Additionally, the plank walk area requires thorough cleaning to remove mud and to address the potential risk posed by the presence of snakes in the vicinity,” it said on Facebook recently.
Furthermore, the SFC advised that the reserve might undergo periodic closures based on weather conditions and permits to prevent any incidents involving visitors.
