KUCHING: A factory at Sungai Tengah, Singai, Matang has been raided by a team from the Sarawak Forest Department (SFD) enforcement unit for processing illegal wood.
Two bandsaws, a lorry and illegal sawn timber were also seized by the team.
A SFD spokesman said the raid was carried out by Kuching Forestry Office enforcement officers.
According to him, the value of items seized is estimated to be RM25,000. Investigations will be conducted under the Sarawak Forest Ordinance, Section 90 (1).
