KUCHING: Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) management wishes to assure the public that the policies and regulations outlined in the visit policy for caregivers and visitors at hospitals under the Ministry of Health (MOH) during the Transition Phase to Endemic COVID-19 from MOH would be strictly adhered to at all times.
This statement was made in response to a viral social media issue involving caregivers to patients at SGH, who complained that the visit policy for caregivers and visitors at the Ministry of Health Malaysia Hospital (MOH) was reviewed for all caregivers and visitors, particularly for the COVID-19 Patient Ward and Non-COVID-19 Patient Ward.
SGH management has conducted an inquiry into the problem of insufficient time provided for caregivers to enter and depart the ward, including rotation or change of caregivers in the ward, and has attempted to contact the complainant for more explanation to assist the investigation.
