KUCHING: The authorities have been urged to share information on places visited by contacts exposed to Covid-19 positive cases.
Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) National Women vice-chief Voon Shiak Ni said this in relation with a new cluster that has been detected in Kuching.
She explained that sharing such information is not to trigger panic, but to contain the spread of the virus.
“This is to let the public be aware of places that they have been to for the past one week and to go for check-ups if they are showing any symptoms of the disease,” she said in a Facebook post.
The ‘Engineering Firm Cluster’ was first detected in the 575th case, when the woman tested positive on July 7.
The 579th case is a close contact of the 575th case, a male colleague of the woman from the engineering consultant firm, who was tested positive for the virus on July 10.
