KUCHING: Nur Asfarizah Izzatie Ramzai, a 20-year-old student from SMK Batu Lintang, has attributed her success in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination to her commitment to sharing knowledge with her peers.

Exceeding her own expectations, she achieved 4A- and expressed her happiness with the results.

“The key to my success lies in the blessings I’ve received from my parents and teachers. Most importantly, I always share whatever knowledge I have with my friends. I strive to help them in the best way possible,” she said after receiving her STPM result slip on Thursday (July 13).

Despite the intense competition among students, Nur Asfarizah revealed that she would often wake up in the middle of the night to study. However, she stressed the importance of not pushing oneself too hard to avoid stress. “The key is to take action and never give up.”

Nur Asfarizah aspires to pursue studies in Human Resource Development when she enrols in university. Offering advice to future STPM candidates, she stated, “The mindset that STPM is difficult needs to be changed, and one should never lose hope. There may be challenges along the way, but never give up.”

“I learned on my own without going for any tuition as it requires extra time and money.”

Nelson plans to study overseas and has a keen interest in biomedical science and biochemistry, aspiring to become a scientist in the future.

Edmond Tan, who aims to pursue finance, expressed his gratitude towards his parents and teachers for their support throughout his studies. He highlighted the significance of diligence and learning alongside friends to achieve his remarkable outcome.

Meanwhile, SMK Batu Lintang Form 6 senior assistant Teng Swee Hock said that a total of 27 students achieved straight As, with 17 of them scoring a CGPA of 4.00.

He also disclosed that the overall results of the school for STPM 2022 showed improvement, with a CGPA of 3.23, and 110 students sat for the examination.
