KUCHING: A pilgrim’s gratitude becomes the focal point, manifesting a profound appreciation for the unique opportunity to engage in the sacred pilgrimage not once, but two or three times a year.
The narrative is a shared sentiment among pilgrims who acknowledge the modesty of their experiences while recognising the rarity of frequent Umrah pilgrimage.
“As soon as I return from the Holy Land, I start saving money for my next trip. In fact, the,” said Zubaidah Rebi, 64.
Zubaidah, has been diligently saving money every month, which has afforded her the opportunity to perform Umrah more than 10 times since 2015.
According to her, the blessings she has received have allowed her to undertake this spiritual journey twice in a single year.
“Usually, I go at the beginning and end of the year. This year, I will perform Umrah in February and spend the entire month of Ramadan in Mecca and Medina.
Sharing her experiences while in the Holy Land, the former teacher expressed her excitement to revisit Raudhah.
Raudhah is a place located within the Nabawi Mosque, marked by white pillars, and it lies between the grave of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
She explained that visiting this place brings her immense peace and serves as a significant motivator for her to perform Umrah frequently.
“When you are in that area, you feel close to the Prophet. Everything you express feels as though it is being heard, even though there may not be a verbal response.
“This feeling is what I long for and is the reason I keep wanting to go back there. The opportunities and blessings have become sweet memories that remain fresh in my mind,” she said.
She also mentioned that her experiences each time she goes there are unique from the previous visit.
