KUCHING: Opportunities are now open for filmmakers to participate in a short film competition organised by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Mini Film Festival (MFF).

With many exciting opportunities and prizes up for grabs, all Malaysian filmmakers are welcomed to participate in the competition.

Filmmakers can submit their short films under the following categories: ‘All Current Shorts’ category for filmmakers of all ages and ‘Higher Education Institutions’ category for students in accredited private or public higher learning institutions in Malaysia.

Types of films accepted include narrative short film, animation and/or documentary where these short films need to be produced in or after 2018 and should be no more than 40 minutes long. All genres are accepted.

All submissions must be made by March 13. Entry is free and will only be accepted through the FilmFreeway mini film festival website.
