KUALA LUMPUR: Short-term rates are expected to remain stable today on Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Today’s liquidity is estimated at RM20.76 billion in the conventional system and RM21.80 billion in the Islamic funds.
The central bank will issue a RM1 billion conventional money market tender for seven days, a RM7.20 billion Islamic range maturity auction tender for seven days to 28 days as well as a RM1 billion commodity murabahah tender for 28 days.
At 4 pm, BNM will conduct up to RM19.8 billion for conventional overnight tender and RM13.6 billion for Murabahah overnight tender. – Bernama
