MIRI: A storeroom was damaged after a fire broke out at a showroom house in Jalan Taman Hing Chin , Riam here yesterday morning.
A total of 14 Firemen from Miri Sentral and Lopeng stations were sent to the scene upon receiving an alert on the incident at 10.53 am.
Two Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) were also despatched to the scene.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The blaze destroyed some of the files, books and magazines which were being stored inside the storeroom.
Firemen managed to bring the fire under control at 11.12 am and the operation ended 13 minutes later.
The cause of the fire has not been established yet, as investigation is in progress.
