KUCHING: Shukri Latip carded a total of 65-OCB to win the Men’s Open Nett category of the 2017 Pusaka Golf tournament held at the Sarawak Golf Club (KGS) in Petra Jaya here, yesterday.

With the win, Shukri took home the grand prize of a Sharp 60” LCD television, a challenge trophy and personal trophy.

Second place went to Zayadi Sebeli who carded a 67 while third place went to Liew Thian Fat who managed a 68.

A Toshiba 55” television and a Panasonic 49” television went to the second and third place winners respectively.

In the Gross category, Lee Kah Ming carded a 78 for first place while Johari Aman and Daniel Yeo hit a similar score for second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Ladies Open Nett category, Angel Hii emerged the winner after hitting a 64-OCB followed by Kwon Gyung Sun who scored a 65.
A LG 43” television and a trophy went to Hii while Kwon won a Sharp bread maker.

Third place went to Kim Mi Kyeong who carded a 71 and took home a Vivo Y25 smartphone.

In the Pusaka category, Norman Yusuf carded a 37 to win followed by Ame Aswad (34) and Haji Hassan Hasnan (31) for second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Stableford VIP category, Dato Dr. Chai Khun Chung emerged victorious when he scored 36 points.

Second place went to Dato Sri Mohd Khalid Yusuf who scored 36 points while third place went to Peter Sawal who managed a 34.

Also in the same category, Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) General Manager Datu Sarudu Hoklai who scored a 32 took fifth place while Assistant Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datu Len Talif Salleh in the ninth place with 32 points.

Dato Ngieng Ping Wei who scored a 30 in twelfth spot while fifteenth place went to Assistant Minister of Corporate Affairs Abdullah Saidol who managed a 30.

Some 240 golfers took part in the STIDC golf tournament this year.
Also present during the event was KGS captain Dr. David Sylvester Ling Sheng Tee.
