KUCHING: Shuttle service is available at designated checkpoints in the city to the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) from June 17 to 19 for the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF).
The service runs from 9am to 8pm from three pick-up points – The Hills Shopping Mall, Riverside Majestic Hotel Astana Wing and Plaza Merdeka.
For those returning to the city from SCV, the trip from the Damai Central car park starts from 9.30am to 12.30am.
Tickets for the shuttle bus service are priced at RM40 for a return trip for adults and RM20 for children aged between seven and 12.
The public can purchase the tickets at the three pick-up points.
For RWMF ticket holders, a limited free return trip daily is up for grabs and the offer is on a first come, first served basis.
The pickup times from The Hills are 9am to 11am, 12pm to 2pm, 3pm to 5pm, and 6pm to 8pm.
The pick-up times from Damai Central car park, SCV to the city are 12.30pm to 2.30pm, 3.30pm to 5.30pm, and 9pm to 12.30am.
Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is also collaborating with Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd to ferry RWMF ticket holders from Riverside Majestic bus stop to SCV via hydrogen buses.
The public can check the latest information on the Sarawak Metro bus schedule to the festival from rwmf.net and STB’s social media platforms.
For festival-goers who are driving up, an on-loop van shuttle service from the Santubong Resort T-junction checkpoint to SCV is also available, priced at RM7 one-way for adults and RM4 one-way for children aged between seven and 12.
The trip from Santubong Resort to SCV is from 10am to 10pm, while the trip from SCV to Santubong Resort is between 10am and 12.30am.
Festival-goers are encouraged to plan their journey, particularly during the peak hours between 4pm and 6pm, which will be before the night concerts.
