SIBU: The Sibu Flyover, a project site at the section (WPC07) of the Pan Borneo Highway here, has been officially opened to the public at 6 pm yesterday.

During a brief visit to the site, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that it will facilitate a smoother travel experience between Sibu and Bintulu.

“We are pleased to announce that the construction of the flyover is now completed. This is certainly great news for all road users, especially as we approach the Gawai celebration,” said Nanta.

With the upcoming celebration, Nanta took the opportunity to remind all road users about the importance of adhering to traffic regulations, including obeying speed limits and executing proper P-turns.

“To ensure everyone’s safety, particularly those heading back to their hometowns, I urge all road users to exercise caution when using the highways. Although the roads are well-constructed, it is crucial not to exceed the speed limit, which has been set at 90 km/h,” advised Nanta.
