SIBU: Sibu Hospital specialist clinic advised its patients to reschedule their appointments.

Sibu Hospital deputy director Dr Rachel Teng Li Chin said the clinic had to postpone its services — with the exception of the dog bite clinic, appointments for pregnant mothers, cancer patients and psychiatric clinic appointments — due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in the area.

“Patients who need to get their medication supply can also contact the clinic,” she said in a statement on Monday (April 12).

She added that the hospital apologises for the convenience caused by the postponement of the specialist clinic appointments.

Patients who want to reschedule their appointments or have any questions may contact the hospital at 084-343333 extension 1173/6621 or 011-13317363 (for WhatsApp only).

Those dealing with medication supply can contact 084-343333 extension 1177 or 011-65201011 (for WhatsApp only).

“The hospital also urges members of the public to not be complacent and always adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia and the National Security Council,” said Dr Teng.
