SIBU: Police here arrested a local man for allegedly slashing another person’s car with a long object after he got upset that he was being honked at.
Sibu OCPD ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said they received a police report from a 37-year-old man around 10.10am regarding the incident which occurred yesterday.
In the report, the complainant claimed that his car was slashed by an unknown man at Jalan Upper Lanang.
“On the same day around 1pm, a police team managed to arrest the 27-year-old suspect and seized the object used in the incident.
“The suspect is being remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 506/427 of the Penal Code,” he said.
Investigation found that the cause of the incident was due to the complainant honking his car’s horn.
