SIBU: Sibu Member of Parliament Oscar Ling Chai Yew recently visited Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Ting Sing in Sungai Bidut near here to inspect the school desks, chairs, teaching equipment, and computers purchased with his Program Mesra Rakyat (PMR) funds.

Ling, who is also the Vice Chairman of Sarawak’s Democratic Action Party (DAP), said that under the Program Mesra Rakyat Kerajaan Madani 2024, he used PMR funds to purchase 50 chairs, 50 desks, two projectors, two laptops, and six bookshelves for the school.

“These items will be used for the teachers’ office and classrooms,” he said.

Later at the school, Ling also held a meeting with the headmistress, Ye Ling Ling, the school management board chairman, Lee Kwang Chong, and other board members to discuss the current school administration, address educational challenges, and explain policies from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health.

Additionally, he shared insights into the policies and national vision of the Madani government.
