SIBU: Police are taking seriously the case in which a boarding school student was bullied by his schoolmates.
The incident came to light after a 23-second video clip went viral yesterday.
New Sibu OCPD ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said that today police had already identified the victim and the suspects.
“We have received a report on the incident and have conducted an investigation.”
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation, and Section 509 of the same Code for insulting the modesty of a person.
“We are taking this case seriously. We also want the public to not make any speculations regarding the case.”
