SIBU: A meeting to review the latest reports from the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) committees took place here on Tuesday (July 2).
According to the Sibu Division Youth and Sports Office on its Facebook page on Wednesday (July 3), the meeting was chaired by the Sibu Division administrative officer Awang Mohammed Nizam Awang Ali Bohan.
“The purpose of this meeting is to review the latest reports from the respective committees, detailing the preparations undertaken and planned to ensure the seamless execution of Sukma XXI 2024.”
A total of 180 volunteers will be assigned to Sibu Division for the biennial Games. They had undergone training on June 18 and 19 at Dewan Serbaguna Peryatim, Kemuyang.
Sibu Division is set to host three events for Sukma – badminton, volleyball and football, from Aug 12 to 27.
The events will take place at Sibu Indoor Stadium (badminton), Rejang Park Volleyball Court (volleyball), Stadium Tun Zaidi Adruce (football), and Azman Hashim Community Sports Centre (football).
