BAU: Sibuluh FC emerged as the champion in the Sixth Edition of the Singai Cup Football Tournament 2024 after defeating Seda FC with a 1-0 score in the final match held at REDEEMS Football Field here on Sunday (Oct 6).
With this victory, Sibuluh FC took home RM2,000 in cash, medals, and a trophy, while the runner-up received RM1,500 along with medals and a trophy.
The prizes were presented by the Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.
In the third-place match, Real Bobak FC secured victory over BPFT through a penalty shootout with a 4-2 score.
BPFT player Maxcollynter, who scored eight goals throughout the tournament, was crowned as the top scorer, while the best goalkeeper award went to Nicholas Taham from Sibuluh FC.
Additionally, the best player in the final was awarded to Sibuluh FC’s Emmeuneu Gibson, while BPFT, with their outstanding performance, was recognised as the best team of the tournament.
A total of ten teams participated in the 6th Edition of the Singai Cup Football Tournament 2024, which began in early August.
Also in attendance were Bau District Bidayuh Community Leader Pemanca Robert Tom Juin, Singai Area Chief Morris John Siren, and Chairman of the Singai Bau Sports Enthusiasts Club (KEPSUS), Sylvester Asroy Rengga.
