SIBU: Sarakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) Sibu will be hosting the 30th SIDS Sibu Celebration Dinner at Kingwood Hotel on September 21. SIDS Sibu chairperson Angelyn Uchi Maseng said the celebration would be attended by all SIDS branches besides Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU). “On the eve of the celebration, we will be presenting the ‘Successful Mothers Award’ to
active members of the association with children who have successfully furthered their studies in universities.
“In addition, the ‘Long Service Award’ will also be presented to the longest-serving and active SIDS Sibu exco members,” she told reporters on Monday. Uchi also said the association would provide education incentives to the members’ children who performed well in public examinations.
“We also invite other Dayak associations and individuals to celebrate the anniversary. “So, we are selling tables to people who are interested in joining us,” she said. The tickets are priced at RM700 and RM600 per table. Tickets can be booked by contacting event organiser Monica Giri at 017-796 4137, Mundun Undau (016-878 3894) and Senorita Salleh (013-806 1265).
