BINTULU: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu’s (PBB) Samalaju branch chief Sikong Lusek was returned unopposed to the post for the 2024-2027 term.

At its triennial delegates meeting yesterday, his deputy Assan Dana and vice head Nazarni Salleh were also returned unopposed along with and Dora Abdul Rahman and Hamzaly, as vice chief of the Women and Youth sections respectively.

In addition, Drahman Jusli was appointed as secretary, while Nicholas Siang was elected as treasurer, and Assoddin Narawi as head of information.

The meeting also approved a motion to retain Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg as party president without contest, as well as Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan as deputy presidents.

In addition, delegates also supported proposals for the development of important infrastructure, including on the distribution of clean water to inland areas that is still pending.

Sikong urged all members to continue supporting the leadership of the state government under the Premier.
