BINTULU: Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) gave notice yesterday that part of the main trail at Similajau National Park (SNP) was temporarily closed with immediate effect.

This trail has been rendered impassable from 5.0 kilometres onwards due to break-down of a bridge damaged by torrential water currents.

The park has, therefore, decided to temporarily close the trail from Kilometre 5.0, which means that   visitors will not  be able to visit the Turtle Beach 1, Turtle Beach 2 and Golden Beach.

Pending the satisfactory repair of the  bridge, only the View Point Trail, Teluk Paduk Beach and Circular Trail  will remain open to the public.

For further inquiries and clarifications, members of the public may contact Similajau National Park Office at 019-8610998.
