KUCHING: Simunjan district has received 3,000 doses of vaccine targeting 600 recipients a day at Dewan Mesra Simunjan, and another 250 daily at RTC Munggu Lalang Gedong.
Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said local frontliners, the elderly, and others at high risk would receive their dose from June 14 to June 19.
“Vaccination Centres (PPV) will be located at Dewan Mesra Simunjan and rural transformation centre (RTC) Munggu Lalang, Gedong in the Simunjan district, while recipients from Sadong Jaya will be vaccinated at the Asajaya Sports Complex PPV,” said Nancy.
“Don’t be fooled by false allegations about vaccines that are disseminated by some parties,” she warned, adding that the vaccines have been clinically tested and are totally safe.
“Make sure to have breakfast and bring your current health records for the attention of the health workers,” she advised.
She urged the Batang Sadong community who have received the date and time of their appointment to attend the vaccination programme on time at their respective vaccination centre (PPV).
She further recommended that all recipients follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) by wearing a face mask and refraining from chatting in close proximity at crowded areas while waiting for their turn.
