KUCHING: A discussion has been held between Sarawak and Singaporean investors to strengthen strategic cooperation, particularly in the context of utilities and telecommunications.

The discussion took place during a courtesy call by representatives of Invest Sarawak and Singaporean Institutional Investors on Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi recently.

Among those present were Utility and Telecommunication Deputy Minister Datuk Liwan Lagang, Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication Permanent Secretary Jafri Lias, and Invest Sarawak chief executive officer (CEO) Timothy Ong.

Heads of Departments from the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), Kuching Water Board, Sibu Water Board, LAKU Management Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Energy Berhad and senior officials from the ministry were also in attendance during the courtesy call.
