KUCHING: Hope Place Kuching has been relentless in helping those in need of help regardless of race, religion and creed.
In its press statement recently, Hope Place has extended assistance and support to a single mother, Isafarina Rapaiee.
The 34 year old single mother lives with her three young children in her relative’s house at Telaga Air.
“Isa has three schooling children, aged between eight to 13 years old. Sadly her 13-year old son and her 12-year old daughter were diagnosed with learning disabilities few years ago.
“According to Isa, her 13-year old son has tantrums from time to time. Coming from a broken family background, Isa has no one to turn to for advice or help, except some far off relatives,” stated Hope Place in its press statement.
Additionally, Hope Place stated that Isa had never been to school and is illiterate.
“However, this does not deter Isa from giving the best to her children and she makes sure that all her children go to school, even her disabled children.
“Everyday, Isa will walk together with her kids to school and bring them back.
“She used to work in a school canteen but after the canteen changed management, she became jobless. And so, as work is scarce in that area, Isa put all her efforts in caring for her children now,” Hope Place added.
Isa receives RM300 from the social welfare and Baitumal financial aid, while Hope Place is supporting the family by providing basic food aid.
